Colony History

An interest group was formed here at UofL in the spring of 2006 regarding starting a new chapter of Phi Delta Theta. On February 26, 2006, the colony was formed and the new colony members had their work was cut out for them. Among some of the many tasks that needed to be accomplished were writing a complete set of bylaws, establishing officer files and resources, and getting membership up to 35 members before they could initiate.

In the fall of 2006, the colony added 6 new members to its group and 1 more new member in the spring of 2007. By this time the colony had achieved all the major requirements to get their charter except having 35 members. In the fall of 2007, the colony recruited 18 new members which put us beyond our goal of 35 members.
