The Pennsylvania Xi Chapter of Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity was founded at Clarion University of Pennsylvania on April 23, 1994.

After a temporary loss of the charter, the PA Xi chapter returned for the 1996-1997 school year and have remained there proudly ever since. Since the Chapters founding, the chapter has initiated 181 men to date.
The PA Xi Chapter of Phi Delta Theta and its members have been awarded several recent recognitions from the university, such as Greek Week Champions, Greek Man of the Year (2007, 2009), Mr. C.U. (2004, 2005, 2006), Homecoming King (2006, 2007) and Homecoming Representatives, and many more. The chapter also recieved numerous awards from Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters this past award season (2008), being awarded a GHQ Trophy, a Community Service Citation, a Recruitment Recognition Award, a Improvement Citation, and a Biggers Ritual Trophy. The members are also very involved on campus in a variety of organizations stemming from Student Senate to Student Honors Association.
